Kate Dewhirst Health Law - bringing the law to life. Meet Kate (in 13 seconds)

Do you need a little refresher on what happened in health privacy this last year?

Posted by

I know you have a lot on your plate. So, it is totally understandable that you may have missed some privacy updates from the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Ontario  this year.

There is good news!

The IPC provided a summary slide deck that is super helpful. Click here.

You can read their updates on:

  • The standards they introduced on how they run their intake processes and other Code of Procedure
  • Key new decisions
  • Bill 119 – and what it changed
  • Email guidelines
  • New reporting guidelines to the IPC

There have been 45 new IPC decisions since 2015. 45!

So if you need a cheat sheet that summaries those decisions and orders (all 60 of them) read my: IPC PHIPA Decisions
